Maekake Apron

Dating back to Japan's Edo period beginning in the early 1600s, this traditional Japanese "maekake" apron was widely used among tradespeople and craftspeople.  The heavy canvas, handy pocket, fringed bottom and orange and white waistband of this iconic piece are woven with centuries of history throughout.
